FMCSA panels explore driver wellness

Two groups established to advise the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration on regulatory issues will meet Sept. 21-22 to consider commercia
l driver health and wellness issues.
The Motor Carrier Safety Advisory Committee (MCSAC) and Medical Review Board (MRB) will meet in Arlington, Virginia, will discuss the establishment of a driver wellness initiative -- a non-regulatory public-private partnership of industry stakeholders to improve driver health. The public meeting will address the structure, content, delivery and evaluation of such an initiative.
The joint meeting will be held at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City, 2799 Jefferson Davis Highway, Arlington, Virginia. Copies of the MRB and MCSAC joint task statement and an agenda for the entire meeting will available in advance of the meeting at http://mrb.fmcsa.dot.gov and http://mcsac.fmcsa.dot.gov.
